Woolerton Golem
Scrap fabric isn't tough to come by at our place, which we admit was the chief reason for creating a golem out of quilt scraps. Sure, the colour scheme is a bit... eclectic, and he'll be out of place at your local quilting bee, but you can't beat 'em for cuteness. Plus, anyone who doesn't love paisley isn't worth knowing (there, I said it).
Woolertons are approximately 26" long, zipper to tail, with an arm span of roughly 17" from claw tip to claw tip. They're fully articulated, back to front and front to back, and are the perfect length for wrapping around your neck, bag strap, banister, or sewing machine. Actually maybe don't let them near the sewing machine; they have a somewhat troubling interest in needles. They can stand on their tail, curl up, carry your thread box, hug your cat, or hang upside down from your light fixtures. Although why you'd need that, I'm sure I don't know. Their heads and claws are cast resin from our original sculpts, hand painted and sealed then assembled using ball and socket joints for a realistic range of motion in a faux fur and minky body. |
